Anyone<br \/>can contribute to this library and choose a book.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This space, open to all, allows everyone to discover or learn the language of Shakespeare by<br \/>borrowing or depositing books in English.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On Friday 12 October 2018, the inauguration of the British street library in Maisons-Laffitte<br \/>took place. See 78Actu article: <a href=\"https:\/\/actu.fr\/ile-de-france\/maisons-laffitte_78358\/yvelines-maisons-laffitte-une-bibliotheque-rue-so-british-avenue-longueil_19059041.html\">A so british street library Avenue de Longueil <\/a>!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This street library was set up by the town of Maisons-Laffitte, in the old telephone box offered<br \/>in 1994 by the District of Forest Heath in England for the 40th anniversary of the twinning<br \/>with Newmarket.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Our association supported this project, in particular by providing the first collection of books<br \/>in English.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>You can deposit, borrow or exchange books (books for the general public or for young<br \/>people).<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The bibliobox is a fairly common concept of a phone box where books are placed.
